Organising an event
This page outlines how an event comes together on SportsTrackLive, from gathering athletes to publishing a live spectator page.
1. Gather the athletes
Participants can broadcast their live position from several sources:
- The mobile app with live tracking enabled.
- Flight instruments over Bluetooth. See Devices.
- Live feeds such as FlyMaster or AirTribune. See Live tracking devices.
Using a group makes it easy to collect everyone and filter the map to your participants.
2. Define the task
Create the contest task — takeoff, start, turnpoints and goal — with gate radii. Athletes are scored automatically and ranked on the leaderboard.
3. Assemble the scene
The athletes and task come together as a scene in the 3D player, with a shared timeline, per-athlete stats and the full camera toolkit.
4. Publish
- Share the permalink, or embed the live player on your event's own website. See Embeds & permalinks.
- The page works for both live viewing and post-event replay.
What spectators get
A polished live experience: follow any athlete, first-person views, turnpoints, leaderboards, weather overlays, and the ability to scrub back through the race. See Watching a live event.
