Watching a live event

Following a live event on SportsTrackLive needs nothing more than the event link and a modern browser. Here's how to get the most out of it.

Getting started

Open the event's 3D player. You'll see all participating athletes on the globe, broadcasting their positions live.

Follow your favourite athlete

  • Open the athlete list, search for a name, and select them.
  • The camera follows them automatically. Switch to first-person to fly along with them.
  • Their live statistics — speed, altitude, vario, distance to goal — appear in the stats panel.

Read the race

  • Turnpoints and gates are shown on the course, so you can see where athletes are heading. See Contest tasks & turnpoints.
  • The leaderboard shows current standings.
  • Toggle weather layers — thermals, wind, satellite — to understand the conditions. See Weather & air layers.

Catch up or jump to now

  • Use the timeline to scrub back and watch a key moment again.
  • Hit Resume to jump straight back to the live edge.

Tips

  • Reduce clutter by hiding athletes you're not following, or shortening the trail length.
  • Use Chrome for the smoothest experience, especially if you want to record a video clip.
