Events & competitions — overview
SportsTrackLive shines at live events. The same engine that replays your weekend flight scales up to broadcast an entire competition — dozens of athletes tracked live, shown together on the 3D globe with turnpoints and leaderboards.
The platform has powered coverage of major events, including the Red Bull X-Alps.
What an event includes
- Many athletes broadcasting live at once — from phones, flight instruments or live feeds (FlyMaster, AirTribune).
- A shared 3D scene where spectators can follow any athlete.
- A contest task with turnpoints and start/goal gates. See Contest tasks & turnpoints.
- Leaderboards that update as the race unfolds. See Challenges.
- An embeddable player so the event can be shown on its own website. See Embeds.
For spectators vs. organisers
- Spectators — just open the event link and watch. See Watching a live event.
- Organisers — set up the task, gather the athletes, and publish the live page. See Organising an event.
Beyond free flight
While free-flight races are the headline use case, the same tools work for any tracked competition — sailing regattas, multi-day adventure races, and more — using the appropriate scene mode.
