The configuration panel
The configuration page is the control room for your account. Open it from your avatar menu (it lives at …/configuration). Everything is organised into tabs down the side — this page walks through each one.
Editing your profile
The Profile tab is where you set who you are on SportsTrackLive:
- Profile picture — drag-and-drop or pick an image (up to 1 MB; JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP). If you don't set one, an avatar is generated using your personal track colour.
- First and last name, and a username (4–127 letters/numbers, no spaces, unique to you).
- Gender, date of birth, country and city.
- Interface language — the language the website is shown in.
A separate, clearly-marked section lets you change your password (current password + a new one of at least 8 characters). Changing your email address has its own tab and also asks for your current password to confirm it's you.
Under Preferences you'll find:
- Measurement units — Metric (km, m) or Imperial (miles, feet). This affects every distance, speed and altitude shown across the site.
- Bulk privacy — flip all your tracks to private or public at once.
- Download archive — request a single archive of all your stored tracks and download it once it's ready (the link stays valid for two days).
Connecting watches and instruments
Connect an external account once and your activities sync in automatically — no manual uploads. These integrations are a Premium feature.
- Garmin Connect (Garmin tab) — click to authorise SportsTrackLive on Garmin's side, then your recent activities import automatically and every new one syncs from then on. You can set whether imported activities arrive private or public by default.
- Suunto (Suunto tab) — same idea via Suunto's app. You can unlink at any time from the same tab.
- Flymaster (Flymaster tab) — for live tracking from a Flymaster instrument. Here you copy a personal token that you enter into your device; there's nothing else to configure.
See Garmin & Suunto sync for the watch side of the setup.
FFVL key (French free-flight federation)
On the FFVL tab you can paste your personal FFVL user key, obtained from your FFVL intranet tracker page. Once it's saved, your free-flight activities (paragliding, speedflying, hang gliding…) are reported to the official FFVL system. The tab shows which activity categories qualify and confirms when data was last sent.
Your 3D track colour
The Colour tab lets you choose the colour your track is drawn in inside the 3D player — useful so you stand out in a shared scene or event. Pick a swatch from the grid; it saves instantly, no separate button to press.
Group management
The Groups tab is a full manager for the groups you own or belong to. To create a group you give it a name, an activity/category, an optional expiry date (three months by default) and a privacy setting (public, private or not-listed). The table below lists your groups with their activity, privacy, expiry and member count, with edit and delete actions.
Notifications
The Notifications tab is a set of simple on/off switches for the emails you receive:
- A master opt-in for SportsTrackLive emails.
- New subscriber — when someone follows you.
- Daily summary of your activity.
- Scene ready — when a 3D scene finishes processing.
- Live started / Live ended — around your live-tracking sessions.
- Track ready — when an uploaded or recorded track has finished processing.
Deleting your account
The Delete Account tab lets you permanently delete your account and all associated data. It's reachable directly at …/configuration?tab=account_deletion. See Delete your account for the full steps and what's removed.
Premium & billing
The configuration panel is also where you manage your Premium subscription, payment card and invoices. See Premium.
