Auto start/stop & triggers
Two features keep your hands free during an activity: automatic start/stop and audio triggers.
Auto start/stop
When enabled, the app starts recording automatically once you exceed a speed threshold, and stops when you drop below a threshold for a set time. Both thresholds and timings are tuned per sport category, so a paraglider, a cyclist and a hiker each get sensible defaults.
This means you can put your phone away and trust that your takeoff or your ride start is captured — no need to remember to hit record.
Pick the right sport first
Because the thresholds depend on the category, selecting the correct sport before you head out makes auto start/stop reliable.
Triggers (audio alerts)
Triggers play an audio alert when a condition is met while recording. You can create triggers based on:
- Reaching a value — e.g. altitude above X, speed above Y, heart rate above Z.
- Time intervals — e.g. announce every 10 minutes.
- Distance intervals — e.g. announce every 5 km.
For each trigger you can record a custom voice message, test how it sounds before you head out, and configure them per sport category.
Volume handling
To make sure you can hear alerts, the app can automatically raise the volume to maximum a short time after recording starts.
INFO
Free accounts can set a limited number of triggers; Premium raises the limit.
