3D replay on mobile

The same immersive 3D experience you get on the web is built right into the mobile apps, powered by an embedded 3D engine. Open any activity and tap 3D replay.

What you can do

  • Play back your track over real 3D terrain with satellite imagery.
  • Scrub the timeline to any moment and see altitude, speed and metrics at that point.
  • Change the camera — orbit, follow, or a first-person/cockpit view from your own perspective.
  • Tilt your phone to pan the camera using the gyroscope (you can recalibrate it if it drifts).
  • Point your phone at the landscape in augmented reality to see terrain names, weather beacons and other pilots aligned with the real world.
  • See speed-coloured trails so fast and slow sections are obvious at a glance.
  • Overlay related tracks — compare your line with other athletes' or your own past flights.

Free-flight extras

  • Thermal bubbles are visualised as 3D markers where they were detected.
  • Airspace overlays (from KML) can show no-fly zones and restrictions on your track.

Sharing a 3D replay

You can record your 3D replay as a video and share it to your camera roll, messaging apps or social media.

When you open a replay, the app can offer related tracks in the same area and time so you can load them alongside yours for comparison.

Premium

Free accounts have a time limit on 3D replay; Premium removes it. If the 3D engine isn't available on a device, the app falls back to a web-based replay.

For the complete feature reference of the player, see the 3D player section.
