The cockpit (recording screen)
The cockpit is the heart of the mobile app — your live dashboard while recording. It shows your real-time metrics and gives you full control over the recording.
Starting and stopping
- Manual — tap Start to record and Stop to finish.
- Automatic — let auto start/stop handle it based on your speed.
- Pause / resume mid-activity without losing data.
Live metrics
The cockpit displays your current data live, including:
- Speed (current / max / average) and pace.
- Altitude (current / min / max) and elevation gain.
- Distance and elapsed time.
- Heading / compass.
- Climb rate and glide ratio (free flight).
- Wind speed and direction.
- Heart rate and cadence (with a sensor).
- Device battery.
Customisable widgets
You choose which widgets appear on your cockpit and how they're arranged, so you see exactly the data that matters for your sport — for example vario and glide ratio for paragliding, or pace and heart rate for running.
Map and views
- A 2D map shows your live position and track while recording.
- A 3D view (powered by the embedded engine) lets you see your flight over real terrain. On iOS you can tilt your phone to pan the 3D camera via the gyroscope.
On-screen extras
- A compass for heading awareness.
- POI search to find airports, peaks and landmarks near you.
- Live notifications (incoming comments) shown right on the cockpit, with a configurable display duration.
Voice control (iOS)
On iOS you can control recording hands-free with voice commands — useful when your hands are on the brakes or bars.
Audio feedback (Android)
On Android, the cockpit has an Audio feedback button (speaker icon) that lets the app speak your metrics aloud — speed, altitude, distance and more, on a timer or when you hit a target. See Audio feedback (spoken metrics).
