Camera modes

The player gives you cinematic control of the camera so you can watch an activity exactly how you want.

Follow camera

The camera automatically follows the selected athlete, keeping them centred as they move, with smooth easing so it feels natural. Optional auto-rotation orbits the camera around the athlete for a dynamic view.

First-person view

Switch to a first-person / cockpit view from the athlete's own perspective — fly the flight as the pilot saw it. This is invaluable for analysing decisions, ridge clearance and thermal entries. Real-time altitude and speed are shown from that viewpoint.

Free camera

Release follow mode to freely navigate the 3D space:

  • Orbit — rotate around the scene.
  • Pinch / wheel to zoom.
  • Drag to pan, with momentum on touch devices.

Tilt is clamped to sensible angles so the view never flips upside down.

Gyroscope control (apps)

On phones with a gyroscope, tilt your device to look around in 3D instead of dragging. A crosshair shows the centre of view, and you can recalibrate if it drifts.

Orientation aids

  • A compass shows the camera heading (N, NE, E…); tap it to snap the view back to north.
  • An off-screen indicator arrow points toward the followed athlete if they move out of view, so you never lose them.

Framing

When you load a contest, the camera automatically frames the whole course so you can see the full task at once, then returns to your previous view when you exit.
