Activities & tracks

An activity (also called a track) is a single recorded session — one flight, ride, sail or hike. Everything you do on SportsTrackLive revolves around your library of activities.

What an activity contains

  • The GPS path with altitude, speed and timestamps.
  • Computed statistics (see Statistics & analytics).
  • Optional photos, tags and features (gear).
  • A privacy level and a sport category.
  • Optional sensor data — heart rate, cadence, barometric altitude, wind, vario.

Where to find your activities

  • Web — your profile and calendar list every activity by date and sport.
  • Mobile — the activities tab shows a chronological, filterable list with thumbnails, duration, distance and sync status.

You can filter by sport category, date range, distance and duration, or search by tag.

Editing an activity

After recording you can change the name, category, tags, features and privacy. You can also add photos and, on free flight, review the automatic contest scoring.

Tags & features

  • Tags are free-form labels — an event name, weather conditions, "training", "competition".
  • Features describe the gear you used — wing model, bike, board.

Both are reusable and searchable, which makes filtering your history easy.

Importing & exporting

  • Import GPX, IGC and FIT files (on the web, or from BLE instruments on mobile).
  • Export any activity as GPX or IGC — IGC is the standard for paragliding/hang-gliding competition submissions (XContest and others).

Deleting & restoring

You can delete an activity at any time. Deleted activities can be reviewed and restored for a period before they're permanently removed.

When viewing an activity, SportsTrackLive surfaces related tracks — similar routes by you or other athletes in the same area — so you can compare lines and discover popular spots.
